Surge Testing

 FairyLUX Surge tests include the following:

  1. Surge voltage testing: Applying high voltage surges of specified magnitude and duration to the device or equipment to assess its ability to withstand transient voltage events that can occur in power systems, such as lightning strikes, switching events, or other electrical disturbances.
  2. Surge current testing: Subjecting the device or equipment to high-current surges of specified magnitude and duration to evaluate its ability to handle surge currents that can result from short circuits, overloads, or other abnormal operating conditions.
  3. Surge response measurement: Measuring the voltage or current response of the device or equipment during and after the application of surge events to assess its performance and reliability under such conditions.
  4. Surge immunity testing: Evaluating the device's immunity to surges induced from external sources, such as electromagnetic interference (EMI), radio-frequency interference (RFI), or other electrical disturbances that can affect its normal operation.
